Welcome

Our farm is located apporximately 30 miles northwest of Fort Wayne, IN. We are within an easy drive of Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, and Flint. We specialize in the rare Suri alpacas, concentrating on Peruvian lineage and ACCOYO genetics.

Shootin' Stars Farm is a growing farm. Starting with only two alpacas just five years ago, our herd is 30+ strong and growing quickly!

We have a fine selection of alpacas to choose from, as well as breeding services, multi-purchase discounts, and personalized financing. We also offer boarding to those who wish to own these wonderful creatures, but lack the facilities to accomodate them.

We have a nice variety of herdsires to choose from. All of our herdsires are full Peruvian, most with Accoyo bloodlines. We have a full ACCOYO Color Champion HHSF Chromocolor, 6X Color Champion HFS Joshua, light silver gray GLR Colque, and GLR Apatche, multi-colored Color Champion. We offer 60 days free boarding with all of our breedings and free delivery within 100 miles for any alpaca purchased. Ask us about multiple breeding discounts!

Alpaca Shows

Alpaca shows are a great way to network with other alpaca breeders, attend seminars, and interact with the public, which may turn out to be your next customer.

The judge's objective evaluation of your alpacas at shows can help your marketing techniques and breeding program.   I would like to add as a side note not to get too upset with one judge's opinion at any one show.  We have all had an "off" day with an alpaca - possibly receiving the "gate" the week after receiving a blue ribbon.  This type of occurrance has happened to most everyone.

Nevertheless, alpaca shows are a great way to learn about the many different aspects of the alpaca business.  Alpaca shows also offer wonderful opportunities to socialize with others that share your interest in these spectacular creatures!

Smiling Alpaca

This is our Reserve Color Champion HHSF Accoyo Chromocolor Suri.  He is very easy going and loves to nibble on apples, grapes, carrots, and sometimes fingers and ponytails!  He is curious and regularly checks out what anyone is doing in his pasture.  "Chromocolor" is a full Accoyo fawn herdsire and has two cria on the ground.  Look for Chromocolor's "Bandit" in the show ring this spring!
